LET THE TRUMPETS SOUND by Doug Roper:

Angels, scripture tells us, are used as heralds to pass on messages and judgments from God. I am sometimes asked where my inspiration comes from. As I was working on a commission of a two year old little girl named Rachel for her parents, the comment I most heard in my studio was: β€œShe looks like such an angel.” and in my imagination I saw this angel take flight blowing a Shofar or rams' horn trumpet

ITALIAN GARDEN by Linda Chalberg:

We parked on the "backside" of Scheggino instead of the more recognizable clock tower/river side of this quaint Umbrian hill town.  Just before we walked through the archway, there were these houses nestled on the hillside.  The green glass wine bottle lamp post caught my eye, as well as, the perfect place for a back door garden.  Maybe I should have titled this "Back Door Basil"!

FLORES DE LUZ by Judy Payne-Korge:

The first time I met the model she sat for class during a workshop. She is a Flamenco dancer in San Antonio who I actually painted three times. I find her features quite interesting. The flower/model combination came together nicely. The flowers are painted in a abstract/blurred manner verses soft edgedness of model. Using a 30 x 40 inch canvas, dividing it into a grid I was able to transfered image from my computer to paper, to the canvas.

Oil on canvas
30 x 40
